About The Position

Love working with the little ones? Resurrection Kids is hiring for caring, dependable individuals to join our team! You’ll help create a safe, loving environment for infants and toddlers during service and small group meetings. This position is responsible for actively engaging the children while leading activities, and using creativity to teach weekly lessons, sharing Jesus with each child. Perfect for those who have a heart for children and want to serve in a meaningful way. Flexible, part-time hours. The Kids Ministry Nursery Associate provides childcare for parents attending group meetings or services. This position is responsible for actively engaging the children while leading activities, and using creativity to teach weekly lessons, sharing Jesus with each child.

Requirements

Applicants must be 16 and older.
Adapting- remains flexible and modifies behaviors quickly to help the church meet the dynamic needs of congregants and employees.
Communicating – develops and delivers clear communications (verbal and written) that meet the unique needs of different audiences.
Team Building – forms highly effective teams, whether supervised or informal, where individuals with diverse skills achieve ambitious goals.
Childcare experience preferred.
Proven Results in: Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and children.
Dedicated and dependable to work assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide safety and supervision of children.
Participate with children in age-appropriate activities & teach provided lesson plans.
Thoroughly read and understand the staff manual and covenant and adhere to all Kids Ministry team policies and procedures.
Ability to work with different volunteers and staff personalities in a classroom setting.
Lead music worship time either in a large group setting or individual classrooms.
Communicate regularly with parents, co-workers, and volunteers in a positive way.
Keep CPR and Safe Gatherings Certifications up to date
Other duties as assigned.
Follow Jesus and engage in the “five essential practices” of the Christian life: worship, study, serve, give, and share.
Support the church’s purpose of “building a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious people become deeply committed Christians.”
Exemplify the church’s values and support its theological direction as a United Methodist Church.
