About The Position

Plant knowledge and passion to help customers with their garden or landscaping needs, Customer-service driven and a critical eye to notice when customers need assistance or merchandise needs attention. Creativity to display plants and garden accessories to demonstrate design ideas, Care with tending to our lush plants, shrubs, trees and Complete Cashier, Sales Associate and Department Head duties as necessary. Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management). Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked. Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your “Ace Pace”. Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required. Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings. Handle special orders for all non-stock items. Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager. Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting. Respond to radio requests. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience, gardens experience preferred.
Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a high attention to detail.
Available to work some evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements: work outside in summer/winter temperatures, standing or walking during shift, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, pushing/pulling, etc.
