About The Position
Broad Reach Healthcare is currently seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position. In this role, you will receive a $12,000 SIGN-ON BONUS. Responsibilities include: Oversee direct nursing care to patients on your 38 bed half long term care, half sub-acute unit. Supervise day to day activities of Nurses and CNAs, planning and delegating assignments to unit nursing staff. Communicate clearly with all staff to assure continuity of care, updating nursing team and families with changes in patient condition. Respond to emergency situations. Collaborate in planning, teaching and evaluating staff development programs for the unit. Make daily rounds on unit to evaluate patient status and staff performance.
Requirements
- LPN Nursing Certificate or RN Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Active license to practice as a Nurse in Massachusetts
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Good communication and people skills.

- Long term care experience preferred
