Nurse Unit Manager - Outpatients
About The Position
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager to join our outpatients department to lead and inspire a high-performing team in this permanent full-time role 38 hours per week. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. As a NUM, you will play a pivotal role in clinical leadership, operational management, and driving excellence in patient-centred care. You'll be supported by a collaborative leadership team and encouraged to lead innovation and continuous improvement in your unit.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years full time experience in the relevant area as a Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse or other leadership role
- Extensive leadership experience within a nursing unit in a complex hospital environment
- Demonstrated competence in cost centre management.
- High-level interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders at various levels to achieve
- Current AHPRA Nursing registration
