About The Position
The Zeeland Hospital Float Pool is cross trained to Med Surg, ICU, and Emergency departments. The Float Pool offers an opportunity to learn a broader skill set and provide coverage for nursing departments. You are able to enhance your skills by working in these departments while still feeling like you belong to a team. Scope of work Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Responsibilities
- Taking vitals
- Checking blood sugars
- Bed bathing
- Ambulating
- Wound care
- Catheterization
- Acting as a safety attendant for patients
- Cleans patient’s environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel.
- Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior.
- Advocates for privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organization data.
