About The Position
Big Rapids Emergency Department is a community-based hospital that is part of the Corewell Healthcare System. The Big Rapids ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. There are 20 places to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationship-based care for our patients and their loved ones. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Cert required within 90 days
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
- Cleans patient’s environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel.
- Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior.
- Advocates for privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organization data.
