About The Position

Nurse Supervisor / Falcon Health Center / Full Time In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company, and within the scope of the Ohio Board of Nursing, the Nursing Supervisor will be responsible for leading the development of an integrated nursing team approach. They will work directly with the Director and Medical Director in development of the nursing staff including education, facility competencies, evaluation, performance management, patient safety and customer service related issues. The Clinical Supervisor will assist nursing and care staff in reaching their full potential at each stage of their professional development. The focus will be on developing and enhancing clinical knowledge, technical skills, clinical decision-making skills, professional performance standards and inter-personal skills that nursing and care staff use to provide quality services.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred
  • License: Current Ohio RN licensure required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardia Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous charge nurse, supervisory, or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enforces guidelines outlined in Nurse/Medical Assistant job description.
  • Following the guidelines outlined in the Values Circle, the Nursing Supervisor will assist the Manager/Director in the creation and development of a positive culture at the Falcon Health Center.
  • Finds coverage for department if an employee calls off and/or will rotate schedule to benefit the department and assist with shortages.
  • Fields questions from staff regarding any clinical issues and provides clinical advice and supervision to nursing/care staff.
  • Participates in taking call for evenings and weekends.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff and management concerning all clinical issues.
  • Maintain effective communication via e-mail, phone, etc.
  • Manages the throughput of patients and makes recommendations for process changes as necessary.
  • Responsible for follow up of customer service issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate level of clinical staff, including initiating job requisition process, candidate screening, interviewing, hiring, and scheduling, management of staff time off, and payroll approval.
