About The Position

Overview: Starts at $41.38/hr., can be more pending experience Monday through Friday- start time varies between 7:30- 9:00 and end time 5pm-7pm. Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Job Description Summary: The Nurse Supervisor oversees the Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) program at The Center for Family Safety and Healing (TCFSH). Responsible for evaluation, reporting, and quality improvement systems and support designed to ensure quality services and progress toward NFP program goals. Adheres to the NFP model, and to policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of NFP, The Center for Family Safety and Healing, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License. Job Description: Essential Functions: Provides clinical supervision to direct reports and facilitates professional development through one-to-one supervision, case conferences, team meetings, and field supervision. Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members, including performance appraisal. Contributes to the efficient operation and sustainability of the NFP Program at The Center for Family Safety and Healing. Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff. Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing consultative support, evaluation, education, and direction.

Requirements

  • BSN, required.
  • Ohio RN active license
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements.
  • Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
  • BLS
  • Community Health, Public Health, or Maternal-Infant experience, required.
