About The Position

Murdoch Developmental Center is recruiting for a Nurse Supervisor I (NSI) - Campus Nurse located in the Infirmary. The Infirmary is an ICF-IID certified 29-bed unit which provides 24-hour nursing care to people requiring hospitalization to treat acute illnesses, as well as comprehensive permanent residential care for people who require intensive 24-hour nursing care. The Infirmary provides emergency response and professional nursing coverage in residential areas after the nurses in those areas have left duty (after usual business hours, weekends, and holidays). It also provides assessment and treatment of employee injuries for the entire campus after hours, on weekends and holidays, and ensures executive staff are notified of events in accordance with facility policy. All employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events. This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • Two years of nursing experience
  • Valid Driver License
  • Ability to pass Healthcare Provider CPR written and physical requirements
  • Ability to pass Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) written and physical requirements
  • Be in good standing with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing
  • Pass criminal record background checks
  • Adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour nursing care to people requiring hospitalization to treat acute illnesses
