About The Position
The Adrian Dominican Sisters are accepting applications for part time 2nd shift Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. The organization provides an enriching and compassionate environment to the Adrian Dominican Sisters in their home at the Dominican Life Center, a nursing/retirement home environment on the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse campus. The Dominican Life Center is a continuum of care facility with 180 beds in private rooms, providing long term care to Sisters in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing communities. The organization employs over 300 people who take pride and joy in working for and with the Sisters to provide exceptional care in a spiritual environment. The facility is not state-regulated but maintains a standard of care above and beyond state requirements and can help maintain RN or LPN licensing and certifications.
Requirements
- Graduation from a state approved school of nursing
- Current license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Licensed Practical Nurse must be qualified to pass medication
- Interest in geriatric nursing or Long Term Care
- Must be able to walk 8 hours and to perform bending/stooping, reaching above shoulder level and lifting up to 46 pounds without assistance on a regular basis
- Must be in generally good health to provide immunity to common communicable organisms
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be flexible with schedule and work every other weekend and be available for mandation when necessary
- Mandatory yearly (employer paid) flu vaccine and TB test
