About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead a fully-remote, innovative addiction medicine program, providing patient-centered, evidence-based care for individuals with substance use disorders. As a Nurse Program Manager, you will oversee both clinical and administrative operations, ensuring high-quality treatment delivery and seamless telehealth coordination. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, develop program workflows, and implement new strategies to optimize patient outcomes. The role combines leadership, clinical expertise, and technological proficiency to expand access to addiction medicine services across Hawaii. You will also foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance program impact. This position allows for meaningful contributions to the growth of telehealth services while advancing professional leadership skills in a virtual healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s (MSN, MPH, MHA) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 3 years in addiction medicine, substance use disorder treatment, or psychiatric/mental health nursing
  • Previous leadership or program management experience, such as supervisory, charge nurse, or program coordination roles
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and secure communication tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport in virtual settings
  • High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and comfort with adopting new technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) or CARN-AP preferred
  • Experience developing new programs and managing clinical services in a telehealth environment is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the telehealth addiction medicine program, ensuring compliance with evidence-based practices and quality standards
  • Oversee clinical operations, including patient care coordination, treatment planning, and adherence to protocols
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to nursing and support staff, promoting professional development
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop workflows, implement telehealth technologies, and optimize service delivery
  • Monitor program performance metrics, evaluate outcomes, and recommend improvements to enhance patient care
  • Facilitate staff training, continuing education, and program-related initiatives
  • Participate in virtual patient care as needed to support clinical operations and maintain high-quality service
