About The Position

A physician assistant is defined as a person who is a graduate of a school approved by the AMA Board of Approval and Certification of Physician Assistant Programs, who may provide medical services appropriate to his/her training, experience and skills, under the supervision of a registered physician. This position is a licensed independent practitioner credentialed through the Medical Staff Services Office Completion of Advanced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program from an accredited institution. All licensure re-certifications, as required. Requirements

  • 2 years of Acute Medicine experience, preferred.
  • Nurse Practitioner - Board of Registration in Nursing (Massachusetts)
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Requires DEAx number for the ability to prescribe Buprenorphine/Suboxone
  • Demonstrated history of proficiency in the delivery of medical care to adult patients.
  • Demonstrated successful completion of the SSH Credentialing process.
  • ACLS (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - Board of Registration in Nursing (Massachusetts)
