Requisition Number: R-21862 Facility: LOC0006 - 780 Main Street780 Main Street Weymouth, MA 02190 Department Name: SMC Urology Status: Full time Budgeted Hours: 40 Shift: Day (United States of America) A physician assistant is defined as a person who is a graduate of a school approved by the AMA Board of Approval and Certification of Physician Assistant Programs, who may provide medical services appropriate to his/her training, experience and skills, under the supervision of a registered physician. Requirements
- A graduate of an AMA recognized Physician Assistant training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission or Education for Physician Assistant (ACR-PA)
- Must possess a valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant from the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Physician Assistants.
- Must also be certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants; if a recent graduate, must sit for exam and successfully pass it at the next time the examination is offered.
- For ambulatory, we only require BLS; if in the hospital ACLS is required.
- This position is a licensed independent practitioner credentialed through the Medical Staff Services Office
- License, certifications, and classes will be monitored by the Medical Staff Services Department
- Monday through Friday
