About The Position

Come join our dynamic, highly skilled Pelvic Physiology outpatient APP team. The Pelvic Physiology service uses advanced technologies to evaluate patients experiencing pelvic floor disorders, fecal incontinence, constipation, anal or rectal tumors, and/or anal fistulas. The NP will provide clinical guidance and care for patients receiving treatment(s) for pelvic floor disorders as well as other cancers, including the use of diagnostic tools such as anal manometry, biofeedback, and endoanal ultrasound, provide pre- and post-operative management and optimization, symptom management, care coordination, assistance with triage, and other duties as assigned. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. We are routinely voted a top 10 program by U.S. News and World Report. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $105.50 - $136.83 (Hourly Rate). Requirements

  • Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with a master’s or doctoral degree aligned with the patient population and clinical role.
  • Two (2)+ years of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in oncology specialty
  • Knowledge of the clinical and operational issues for nurse practitioners performing advanced-practice nursing within departments and specialty areas, including evaluation, testing, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as patient-care concepts and policies.
  • Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position: Adult Outpatient (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC )
  • Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
  • Complete a BRN recognized graduate master’s degree program as a nurse practitioner.
  • Complete Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
  • Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
  • Current AHA BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) plus or more NP experience in oncology
  • AOCNP Certification
  • Previous employment in a university hospital
  • Knowledge of the clinical and operational issues for nurse practitioners performing advanced-practice nursing within departments and specialty areas, including evaluation, testing, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as patient-care concepts and policies.
  • California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position.
