What You'll Do: You’ll be the bridge between our physicians and patients, playing a hands-on role in comprehensive care. Responsibilities include: Conducting physical exams, taking medical histories, and managing both acute and chronic conditions Assisting in procedures, administering medications and injections, and performing wound suturing Triaging patient concerns and managing clinical follow-ups Participating in hospital rounds and taking after-hours/weekend call rotation Educating patients and families, ensuring clarity and comfort throughout the care journey Collaborating with our integrated care teams to ensure continuity and quality of care Where You'll Work: High-performance medical offices and exam rooms State-of-the-art hospital operating rooms A dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment focused on innovation and excellence Physical & Emotional Demands: Mobility required for sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting during patient interaction Ability to assist in patient transfers and respond calmly in high-pressure situations Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or RNFA program Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona and national certification (RNFA) Board Certification, DEA license, and current CPR certification At least 1 year of NP experience in a hospital, pain clinic, or PM&R clinic Experience in neurosurgery is highly preferred — we’re looking for someone ready to contribute at the top of their game Why Barrow Brain and Spine? Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or RNFA program
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona and national certification (RNFA)
  • Board Certification, DEA license, and current CPR certification
  • At least 1 year of NP experience in a hospital, pain clinic, or PM&R clinic
  • Strong knowledge of acute and chronic care protocols, medication administration, and physical care techniques aligned with treatment plans
  • Familiarity with health promotion strategies and patient education best practices
  • Sharp analytical skills to assess physiological, emotional, and social patient data
  • A consistently positive, professional demeanor — even in high-pressure or fast-paced environments
  • Outstanding communication skills — written, verbal, and over the phone — with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and tact
  • A proactive approach to prioritizing multiple tasks and adapting to changing needs
  • A team-first attitude with the ability to build effective working relationships across clinical and administrative roles
  • Flexibility to occasionally support care delivery during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
