Requirements

Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Colorado
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
Minimum 2 years of NP experience (correctional or hospital setting preferred)
Colorado DEA license with prescriptive authority
Strong knowledge of clinical coding, billing, and ICD-10 standards
Proficient in patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and create personalized care plans
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
Conduct physical exams and perform minor procedures (e.g., injections, spinal taps)
Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens
Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure integrated care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
Apply case management strategies to support continuity of care
Stay informed on current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices
