In an outpatient setting, the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse / Nurse Practitioner (APRN / NP) independently performs medical acts in alignment with APRN/NP licensure standards. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing and medical services to individuals, families, and groups, with a strong focus on health promotion and disease prevention. The APRN/NP provides leadership/consultation and collaborates with patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care outcomes. The role also includes identifying and addressing specialized teaching and learning needs of patients and families, ensuring they receive the education necessary for informed health decisions. The APRN/NP is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff, executing daily operations in a cost-effective manner. Additionally, the APRN/NP is committed to ongoing personal and professional development, actively identifying learning needs and setting goals to achieve continuous growth. DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE: The BMH Medical Group provides medical services in various specialties and offices including family practice, pediatrics, ob/gyn, cardiology, orthopedics, post-acute care, urology and general surgery. The practices are staffed by physicians and other licensed providers who are supported by clinical staff (LPNs or medical assistants) and clerical staff (patient service representatives, transcriptionists, pre-loaders). Hours vary by practice but are generally 8:00 – 5:00.
