About The Position

Esse Health is the largest independent physician practice in the St. Louis Metropolitan area with over 100+ physicians, in 35+ locations, serving nearly 130,000 patients. They are seeking a Nurse Practitioner for their Gastroenterology Consultants office located at 3555 Sunset Office Drive. This opportunity allows for independent practice at the highest level of training, focusing on outpatient clinical care. The position offers flexibility with part-time or full-time hours (30-40 hours a week) and a schedule of Monday through Thursday, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Missouri (or eligibility)
• Certified Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility)
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative team and develop a 1:1 relationship with patients and clinical staff members
• Provide direct care to patients in a GI setting
• Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physician partner
• Emphasize preventive care, wellness, and patient education
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
• Coordinate care with specialists and other members of the healthcare team
• Participate in quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
