Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Riverside Peninsula Cancer Institute in Newport News, Virginia. Riverside Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Riverside Cancer Care team in Newport News, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced oncology specialists in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. What You’ll Do As a Nurse Practitioner on our oncology team, you will: Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests Develop and manage personalized care plans Perform pulmonology consultations Counsel patients and families on treatment options and care plans Prescribe and evaluate treatments and medications Document clinical findings accurately in the EMR Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cancer care experts Our Areas of Expertise You’ll support patients across a range of cancer specialties, including: Breast Cancer Colon Cancer Gynecologic Cancer Lung Cancer Prostate Cancer
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner: Master’s in Nursing, current NP license, and board certification (FNP & PMHNP)
- Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure
- Valid DEA registration
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
- A compassionate, team-oriented mindset

- Experience in oncology or pulmonology preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
