In collaboration with an attending physician, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the direct care and follow-up of a population of patients that matches his/her delineation of privileges and skill set. The components of the role include clinical practice, consultation, professional development, education, and research. There are 16 surgeons in the Department of General Surgery and 5 distinct programs - vascular, colorectal, pulmonary hypoplasia, NEBULA (Neuromodulation Bowel and UroLogic Alliance Program, and Esophageal Atresia program. This position will offer the candidate the unique experience of working both inpatient and outpatient. The shifts for inpatient are 6AM to 4PM or 10AM to 8PM and 7AM to 5PM for outpatient.
