About The Position

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioners (N-P) with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire . The company provides Nurse Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes in the Somerset or Pineville, KY area ( other KY areas are available ) to work with the facility's nursing team to improve quality of care and reduce re-hospitalizations. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will lead a Wound Prevention Program in the facility responsible for screening new admissions, assessments, and risks, and implementing precautionary measures. The N-P will support 1 or 2 facilities (geographically clustered) and will take about 3-4 days of work. The schedules have some flexibility. The company provides a high level of clinical support (i.e., on-going Physician collaboration) and dedicated Scribes for documentation. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing, evaluating, and documenting skin and wound conditions, and have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols. Requirements

  • Current KY State RN license
  • KY Licensed Nurse Practitioner
  • At least 2+ years’ experience in the care and treatment of wounds
  • In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
  • Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds
  • Basic Computer skills and experience with EMR software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with Nursing teams

Nice To Haves

  • Wound Care certifications are a big plus
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes a plus but not mandatory
