Role Purpose
Under the direction of a manager/director, the NP Supervisor plans, leads, and coordinates activities of a department as a direct people leader with responsibility for ensuring the productivity of the group. As needed the Supervisor will perform direct patient care utilizing a high degree of knowledge, skill, and competence to diagnose, prescribe, and treat patients within the scope of a formal collaborative practice agreement with a physician(s) to support clinical services. This position supervises specialty areas at Barnes Jewish and St. Louis Children's Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Manages the health care of select patient populations through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
• Coordinates with manager and other multidisciplinary leaders to promote professional practice models and ensure quality patient care.
• Responsible for the productivity and actions of the staff, supporting the overall operational goals established by the department manager/director.
• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
