About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient General Psychiatry team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock. You will be an integral part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, working alongside six psychiatrists to deliver compassionate, high-quality mental health care. This role does not include inpatient responsibilities, and there are currently no other APPs on the team. Requirements

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of Texas
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical team
  • Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer
  • Grad of an Accredited Program
  • More than 1 Year of Experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and follow-up visits
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in coordination with psychiatrists
  • Provide medication management and psychoeducation to patients
  • Monitor patient progress, respond to clinical changes, and adjust care plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system - EPIC
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings
