About The Position

Fairview is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner – Adult Psychiatry Inpatient to join the Fairview medical team at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up. Practice Details: This position is a full-time (1.0 FTE) role that includes coverage during weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays, as well as participation in the call rotation to ensure 24/7 continuity of care. Capitol Park Hospital is purpose-built to support patients with acute mental health needs in a safe, calming, and therapeutic environment. The facility features modern units, ample natural light, and a care model designed to support patients through stabilization and recovery. Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
• BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC
• Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
• BLS certified
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is required
• PMHNP certification REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in acute care, adolescent care and/or geriatric care preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for adolescent/adult and/or geriatric inpatients.
• Lead multidisciplinary Capitol Park treatment teams, including therapists, nurses, and social workers.
• Participate in daily clinical rounds and team meetings.
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Capitol Park behavioral health staff.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and hospital program development.
