Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner require Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited nursing program
Physician Assistant requires Bachelors or Master’s degree from accredited PA program
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Board Certified in Acute Care
Active State license and DEA
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing/documentation.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Fast-paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent situations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and to develop strong working relationships with clinical and administrative teams.
Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
Strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise the care of critically ill patients.
Performs comprehensive history and physical assessments of patients that are thorough, complete, concise, relevant, and appropriate for age, gender and tailored to the patient’s clinical condition.
Manages general medical and surgical conditions based on knowledge of the indications, contraindications, side effects, interactions and adverse reactions of pharmacologic agents and other relevant treatment modalities.
Facilitates consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team.
Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
