About The Position

Join Access Health Louisiana (AHL) and make a lasting impact where it matters most in our schools! We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality, age-appropriate care to pediatric and adolescent students at Oakdale School-Based Health Center. As part of our mission-driven team, you'll play a key role in keeping students healthy, focused, and ready to learn providing preventive care, managing chronic conditions, and addressing acute needs right on campus.

Requirements

• Licensed FNP (Louisiana RN & APRN) or certified PA.
• Master's degree from an accredited program and current national certification.
• CPR certification required.
• At least 1 year of pediatric, family practice, or adolescent health experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and preventive care for children and teens.
• Conduct wellness exams, sports physicals, and immunizations.
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses and minor injuries.
• Educate students and families on healthy habits and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and the AHL care team to support overall student wellness.
