About The Position

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, working 8 or 10 hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM with at least 1:4 weekend rotations and some holidays. You will work at University Hospital and East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI. Pay: The pay range listed reflects both titles. Additional components of compensation may include: Evening and night shift differential Weekend differential Be part of something remarkable As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: Independently care for the hospitalized patients at University Hospital and/or East Madison Hospital. Work with patients with acute and chronic disease. Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, prevention, care coordination including multidisciplinary care rounds, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Perform consultative services. Requirements

  • If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program. If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
  • If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gerontology Acute Care or Adult/Gerontology Primary Care with clinical experience in the hospital or previous ICU experience as Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
  • If Physician Assistant: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active PA board certification
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
  • Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
