Practice locations can include Duke Health's three hospitals or over 140 primary care and specialty care clinics throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a compassionate, highly qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Geriatrics Evaluation and Treatment (GET) Clinic team at Duke Health North Durham. The ideal candidate has exceptional internal medicine skills and geriatrics experience. They will work with an interprofessional team to provide direct patient care services in our consultative clinic. They will be comfortable working in an autonomous environment and comfortable knowing when to seek advice from other members of the medical team. Primary hours will be Monday-Friday day shift with flexibly to meet patient needs. No evening or weekend call. We invite you to apply to work with team of geriatrics specialists who are dedicated to outstanding patient care. Practice will be limited to consultative geriatrics with an emphasis on longitudinal dementia care, and assessment and treatment of geriatrics syndromes. Schedule consists of 8 clinic sessions per week plus 2 administrative sessions with a mix of new and return patients as determined by supervising geriatricians and clinic needs. Practice will include some virtual clinic sessions using video telehealth services for assessment and treatment of acute and chronic geriatric syndromes of new and return patients.
