About The Position
Cardiac Advanced Practice Provider Inpatient Surgical OR Piedmont Henry Hospital Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Vascular Surgical service line team working at Piedmont Henry Hospital located in Stockbridge, GA. Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days a week with varying call responsibilities. This position may also occasionally provide some inpatient cross coverage for other Cardiovascular service lines, such as Cardiology. This is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nations leading cardiology programs. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly-trained physicians. Piedmont Heart Institute provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.
Requirements
- Masters, Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
- Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification and RNFA certification
Nice To Haves
- Previous Vascular Surgery with operative experience preferred.
- Will consider those with previous Cardiovascular experience and an operative interest.
Responsibilities
- Perform OR first assist duties
- Round on patients in the hospital
- Assist in management of post-operative and critically ill patients
- Evaluate Cardiovascular patients in the office setting
- Apply specialized skills and knowledge related to the care of patients in intensive care areas.
- Contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization
