Follows established nursing standards, procedures, and practices. Accountabilities Obtains medical histories or performs physical examinations. As appropriate to area of expertise, provides health maintenance care for adults, including annual physicals; provides well child care, including screening and immunizations; provides prenatal care and family planning services. Diagnoses, treats, and monitors chronic diseases such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Collaborates with physician and other health professionals as needed.5Writes orders for the interprets laboratory studies, x-rays, special tests, medications, treatments, and other matters pertaining to patients' care. Prescribes medications and other treatments. Requirements

Minimum Education Master's Degree - Nursing; Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses SC Nurse Practitioner Prescriptive Authority
South Carolina Nursing License
South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner
South Carolina Controlled Substance license; Federal DEA license

Responsibilities
