About The Position
AltaMed is seeking a passionate Nurse Practitioner of Perinatal to provide medical services to patients, ensuring appropriate and professional medical care. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing
- Graduation from an accredited Graduate women’s health nurse practitioner program
- Completed training in the diagnosis and management of common as well as some complex medical conditions
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the CA Board of Registered Nursing
- Current Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number by the CA Board of Registered Nursing
- Current certification through The National Certification Corporation as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC)
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in women’s health care post-degree required
- Previous experience with computer-based systems is required
- Electronic Medical Records experience is required
- Completion of the AWHONN Perinatal Orientation and Education Program and Fetal Heart Monitoring Program courses is required within 6 months of hire
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
