Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Per Diem
About The Position
UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join their team in the greater Pittsburgh area and across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. GoHealth Urgent Care partners with UPMC Health System to provide effortless, personal, and connected healthcare experiences. The company has built a substantial network of urgent care centers and offers a clinically challenging environment with a wide variety of patient concerns. The state-of-the-art centers are equipped with advanced technology, including an integrated EPIC EMR, POC testing, and on-site X-ray, designed to maximize efficiency and clinical success. Requirements
- One (1) year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting, or 2 years of Family Medicine
- Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
- Comfortable with preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
- Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting
- For Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification
- For Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and ANCC or AANP Certification
Responsibilities
- Be challenged with clinical complexity and a wide variety of concerns
- Engage in shared decision-making and problem-solving
- See patients at regular intervals with scheduling programs that promote wellness, efficiency, and safe care
- Collaborate with an on-site Rad Tech and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader
- Share experience and training with other clinicians and staff
- Perform minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
- Perform preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
- Treat patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting
