About The Position

GoHealth Urgent Care, in partnership with UPMC Health System, is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join their network of urgent care centers in the greater Pittsburgh area, and locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Clinicians will work as team leaders, collaborating with on-site Rad Techs and Medical Assistants. GoHealth Urgent Care operates over 250+ centers nationwide, offering on-demand care 365 days a year.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting, or 2 years of Family Medicine
  • Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
  • Comfortable with preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
  • Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting
  • For Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and ANCC or AANP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Engage in shared decision-making and problem-solving
  • See patients at regular intervals with scheduling programs that promote wellness, efficiency, and safe care
  • Collaborate with an on-site Rad Tech and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader
  • Share experience and training with other clinicians and staff
  • Treat patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting
  • Perform minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
  • Perform preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
