About The Position

Hendricks Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our full-time outpatient primary care team. This role supports a busy, team-based Internal Medicine and Pediatrics practice and focuses primarily on acute and sick visits, while also providing comprehensive preventive and follow-up care across the lifespan. The APP will not manage an independent patient panel but will provide overflow coverage for a collaborative group of physicians. This position offers a supportive clinical environment with on-site physician availability and no inpatient or after-hours call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Board certified and eligible for Indiana licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, with strong background in both adult and pediatric care (Family Medicine)
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex patients and a high-volume clinical environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
• Must maintain required continuing medical education.
• Certification from the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
• Licensed to practice in Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage acute and sick visits for pediatric and adult patients
• Perform well child checks and sports physicals
• Conduct Medicare Annual Wellness Exams
• Complete hospital follow-up visits for adults with complex medical conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatment plans, and provide patient education
• Follow up on diagnostic test results ordered by the APP, including those resulted after hours
• Collaborate closely with physicians and support staff to deliver high-quality, team-based care
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Consult with on-site MDs as needed; physician support is always available
