About The Position

VitalCheck Wellness, as the administrative agent, is seeking, on behalf of a New York professional corporation owned and directed by licensed physicians (PC), a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a corporate testing center located onsite at a major global investment firm in New York, NY. The NP will be employed by the PC. This role supports employee health through emergency response services, vaccination programs, point-of-care testing, and biometric screenings. This is not a traditional clinical role. The NP will participate in a structured multi-week coaching program for Chronic Metabolic Diseases (i.e Pre-diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Obesity) designed to improve their wellness and lifestyle. It’s an ideal opportunity for an NP interested in preventive care, rapid response, and working in a structured corporate setting.

Requirements

  • Valid and clean license to work in New York.
  • Must hold active BLS/ ACLS certification.
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certified (FNP-C) (FNP-BC)/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certified.
  • Background in internal medicine, family practice, urgent care, or emergency room.
  • Primary Care experience 1-2 years with knowledge of managing blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol.
  • Urgent Care experience 1-2 years with ability to do COVID testing, Strep Testing, Flu testing if needed.
  • Diabetes Prevention experience with knowledge of nutrition and diabetes medication.
  • Must be proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan).

Responsibilities

  • Respond to medical emergencies within the building involving employees.
  • Administer vaccines (including flu and COVID) pursuant to standing orders/protocols and documentation requirements.
  • Perform rapid point-of-care testing in accordance with applicable laboratory certification/registration and clinic protocols.
  • Perform Finger-stick glucose and cholesterol testing.
  • Manage patient appointments and workflows.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
  • Maintain and manage onsite medical equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage, restocking, and compliance with policies.
  • Provide chronic disease management to patients based on our program guideline.
  • Educate patients around healthy eating and lifestyle.
  • Advise/refer patients for follow-up care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of health information and comply with applicable privacy and security requirements (HIPAA and related policies).
