Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join The Canning Thoracic Institute (CTI) Thoracic Surgery Team with a focus on Advanced Lung Failure patients, primarily Lung Transplant and ECMO. CTI operates collaboratively across the Northwestern Medicine health system to advance our mission to deliver the highest quality care for patients with diseases of the chest, promote clinical innovation and discovery, and improve lung health in the Greater Chicago Community. This role is for a Thoracic Surgery Ambulatory APP whose duties play a critical role in the multidisciplinary care of patients undergoing lung transplantation and complex thoracic procedures. This position involves direct patient care, coordination of pre- and post- lung transplant surgical management, and collaboration with surgeons, pulmonologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes. Key duties and responsibilities include patient care and clinical management, care coordination, maintaining quality and compliance, providing education to patients. This position is Ambulatory only.
