About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction. Our Ladysmith location is a Rural Health Clinic attached to a Critical Access Hospital. We have several specialties onsite.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program/NP program.
  • Six months in specialty.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants.
  • Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
  • Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Nice To Haves

  • One year in specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
