Position Summary: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in collaboration with the Employee Health Services team to deliver comprehensive health and wellness services for GW Hospital employees. This includes providing health assessments, managing work-related injuries, coordinating care, and promoting preventive health measures to optimize employee well-being.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current ANCC certification and D.C. licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by start date.
  • BLS (AHA)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in occupational health or employee health services is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and OSHA regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support employee well-being and safety.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and support hospital staff.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to hospital policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments and provide appropriate care for employees.
  • Develop and implement wellness initiatives and health programs tailored to the workforce.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support employee health and safety.
  • Manage and document treatment plans and follow-up care for work-related injuries or illnesses.
  • Educate employees on preventive measures and health maintenance.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations.
