Nurse Practitioner/FNP - Behavioral Health – Nights Step into this role at NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Behavioral Health Center and join an autonomous team of Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP). Provide medical primary care services for patients admitted to an acute psychiatric setting. The FNP will screen patients for appropriate medical care prior to admission, perform physical examinations, managing health problems, do medical rounds on all newly admitted patients as well as manage and treat these patients during their hospitalization. Able to understand what type of laboratory tests, x-rays and any other diagnostic procedures that must be ordered. Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team to determine and achieve health goals of patients and families. Requirements

  • Bachelors & Master of Science in Nursing
  • NYS RN Licensure
  • NY Nurse/FNP Practitioner license
  • FNP board certification through ANCC or AANP
  • BCLS Orientation completion

Nice To Haves

  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of practice
  • DEA registration
