NURSE PRACTITIONER FELLOW
About The Position
The Keith Haring Nurse Practitioner (NP) Postgraduate Fellow will be responsible for diagnoses and treatment of Callen-Lorde patients, for providing such care in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner. The NP Fellow is expected to maintain a high degree of professional competence and the highest possible ethical standards, and to function as part of a care-giving team. You will provide care to patients according to pre-arranged schedules, document care promptly and follow charting protocol and applicable NYS licensing requirements. The NP Fellow will also provide on-call emergency support, attend education programs, and represent Callen-Lorde and/or present at professional conferences, in-service training’s, and meetings. Requirements
- Family or adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioners are invited to apply for the Haring Fellowship
- New York State Certification/Licensure
- Current New York State Registration
- DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate
- CPR Certification
- Commitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Commitment to community-based primary care
- Ability to work within team-based structure
Nice To Haves
- Experience serving Callen-Lorde’s target populations preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
