About The Position

UW Medical Center-Montlake - General Internal Medicine Clinic (GIMC) has an outstanding opportunity for a Flex Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant). The Flex Advanced Practice Provider will not be an empaneled provider; clinic time will be providing acute care and supporting increased access for patients

Requirements

• Current and valid Washington State ARNP licensure or Physician Assistant licensure
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or an accredited Physician Assistant Program
• 2 years of primary care or internal medicine work experience at the ARNP / PA level
• DEA prescriptive authority
• BLS

Responsibilities

• Provides same day/urgent access for patients
• Provides patient care and care coordination support for fully empaneled primary care providers
• With keen attention to the specific needs of patients, delivers excellent care with compassion and sound medical knowledge
• Responds to patients' healthcare needs, including triage, urgent care, and interventions
• Partners with attending physicians, resident physicians, APPs, and other care team members
• Follows patients, including longitudinal care and follow-up, in conjunction with other providers
