About The Position

Marshfield Clinic – Merrill Center is seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Merrill, Wisconsin. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin. In this role, you will join a busy practice with an experienced group. Our Merrill Center has a strong primary care presence in the community with a variety of outreach. Onsite radiology, lab collection, mobile mammography, bone density, ultrasound, and echo. You will take call once every three months on the weekend from home. Requirements

  • For Nurse Practitioner's - Completion of a master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from an nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
  • Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice.
  • For Physician Assistant's - Master’s or Baccalaureate degree.
  • Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors.
  • Successful completion of the national certifying examination and current certification given by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
  • Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
  • Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid.
