About The Position

Hartford Healthcare Medical Group is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Minimally Invasive Gynecologic surgery team. The role involves practicing in a collaborative team environment where all providers are connected through Epic, a fully-integrated EMR system. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, and others in a target population, participating in the medical management of patients to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease, and reduce the risk of illness. The APP will engage in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families, and groups across the lifespan and the health care continuum. This position supports the MIGs team in both the operating room, assisting at Hartford and Manchester Hospital, and in outpatient clinical care in West Hartford, Glastonbury, and potentially South Windsor. The role combines surgical first assisting with longitudinal outpatient care. Specifically, the MIGS APP will first assist in robotic, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic procedures, prepare and maintain the sterile field, and manage pre- and post-operative patient care, including pain and wound management. In the clinic setting, the APP will evaluate and treat complex benign gynecologic conditions, perform office-based procedures such as endometrial biopsies and IUD insertions, and oversee postoperative follow-up and surgical planning. Across both settings, the role includes patient education, accurate clinical documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
