As a Nursing Operations Manager, you will support the growth, development and advancement of nurses through their career, allowing you to make a difference in the lives of both patients and caregivers at a leadership level. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working day/evening/night weekend shifts varying between 12:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Three years of experience in an acute care setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • One year of management experience
  • Experience in a leadership role (charge nurse, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers, in accordance with established clinical standards and knowledge of disease entities.
  • Address significant patient issues throughout the house and communicate with relevant leaders.
  • Handle staffing needs and make modifications, if necessary, to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital.
  • Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Monitor and adhere to the annual hospital operating budget.
  • Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
