Nurse Navigator - HIMG-Oncology (Full Time) - 7317
About The Position
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Nurse Navigator for our HIMG - Oncology department. The Oncology Navigator will serve as a dedicated patient advocate and care coordinator who guides cancer patients through their treatment journey, from diagnosis to survivorship or end-of-life care. This role will: Provide individualized education and emotional support Coordinate multidisciplinary care and appointments Identify and address barriers to care connect patients wiht community and financial resources Facilitate communication between patients, families, and care teams Track patients throughout their care continuum to prevent care gaps.
Requirements
- Current RN license in WV, or compact state.
- 2-5 years position related experience.
- BLS required.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Preference will be given to those experienced in adult oncology either through working on an IP dedicated oncology unit or OP Cancer Center.
- OCN or ONN certification preferred.
