FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Day Position Summary The Nurse Navigator RN is a multi-faceted opportunity providing comprehensive services to patients throughout our health care continuum. Working within hybrid roles of registered nurse, case manager and patient liaison, this dynamic role offers you the room to self-direct and prioritize. As Nurse Navigator RN at MultiCare, you will utilize your advanced knowledge and specialized skill sets to oversee the clinical, quality and cost effective outcomes of our patient population.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- Three to five (3-5) years of recent clinical experience in area of specialty required
- Current BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
- OCN, highly desirable
Responsibilities
- You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing bases
- You will engage your critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, including knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data
- You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
- Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
- Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
