The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. This position reports to (supervisor): Michele Megregian Function/Duties of Position Clinical Activities ( not related to teaching or research ): Practice that emanates from the School of Nursing is expected to support the teaching practice and research mission of the School. In the practice environment, teaching occurs concurrently with clinical activities The primary expectation is the provision of clinical midwifery services to patients in the ambulatory setting of the faculty practice. Scholarly Activities ( research/writing, abstracts, grant supported work, presentations, etc.): Participates in scholarly activities based on faculty rank. Education Activities ( include types of teaching and types of student taught ): Clinical education and supervision of graduate nurse-midwifery students (and other students) in the provision of the services to patients in faculty practices. Midwifery students are with faculty 90% of the time. Mentors and advises students. Service Activities: These activities could include faculty meetings, committee membership, professional activities and other responsibilities as assigned by the Program or Academic Director. Participates in faculty governance; additional engagement based on rank. Administrative Activities: As negotiated. Other Activities: The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

Requirements

Instructor: MSN or equivalent
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor: PhD/DNP or equivalent
Oregon RN license
Oregon APRN license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
AMCB/ACNM Certification
2 years of clinical practice experience.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
