The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. This position reports to (supervisor): Michele Megregian Practice that emanates from the School of Nursing is expected to support the teaching, practice and research missions of the School. In the practice environment, teaching occurs concurrently with clinical activities. The primary expectation is the provision of full-scope clinical midwifery services to patients in the faculty practice

Requirements

  • MSN or equivalent (Instructor)
  • PhD/DNP or equivalent (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor)
  • Oregon RN license
  • Oregon APRN license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • AMCB/ACNM Certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • 2 years of clinical practice experience

Responsibilities

  • Clinical education and supervision of graduate nurse-midwifery students (and other students) in the provision of the services to patients in faculty practices.
  • Midwifery students are with faculty 90% of the time.
  • Mentors and advises students.
  • Participates in scholarly activities based on faculty rank.
  • Participates in faculty governance; additional engagement based on rank.
  • Provides full-scope clinical midwifery services to patients in the faculty practice
  • Provides services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
