About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with eighteen locations across seven states, offering a high standard of medical and clinical treatment across all levels of care including detox, residential, PHP IOP, and outpatient services. The centers are JCAHO and CARF accredited and comply with ASAM standards. The company is currently hiring a Nurse Manager for its new Detox and Residential treatment facility opening in North Chesterfield, VA. This role is crucial for ensuring quality, compassionate, and timely medical care for clients, and for coordinating care seamlessly between medical and clinical departments, the UR team, external healthcare providers, and pharmacies.

Requirements

Valid RN licensure necessary to practice nursing in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
2-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
Excellent oral and written communication and critical thinking skills
Strong collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
Natural leadership abilities with commitment to excellence

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
One year experience in substance use treatment field preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure quality, compassionate, and timely medical care for every Avenues client
Ensure seamless coordination of client care between medical and clinical departments, UR team, external healthcare providers, and pharmacies
Oversee all medication inventory, logs, and authorizations, lab shipments and reports, medical supplies and equipment etc.
Oversee and direct all nursing and medical support staff (interviews, onboarding, training, retention, scheduling, shift coverage, HR needs, and performance reviews)
Maintain medical workflow process and conduct ongoing reviews of protocol and operations
Ensure quality medical documentation and charting standards through weekly chart review
