About The Position

We are searching for an experienced LPN Nurse Manager, for Crestwood Pediatric Associates, (a Division of Trusted Doctors), located in Gainesville, VA Hours include Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with a one hour break for lunch at noon, and alternating Saturday mornings, 8:30 AM - 12:00 noon. Responsibilities will include: Nurse scheduling, ordering vaccines and medical supplies, coordinating with Doctors and Nurse Practitioners, administrative duties associated with the medical side of the practice. Our nurse manager will work along side the medical staff as needed. Candidates should be experienced in all aspects of pediatric out patient care. The Nursing Manager (NM) is responsible for the overall management of the nursing staff, which may include licensed nurses and medical/clinical assistants. The NM is a key member of the practice’s management team consisting of the Medical Director and Practice Administrator. The NM is responsible for the management and oversight of the following functional areas as they relate to clinical operations and nursing staff: personnel management, supply The NM will provide nursing triage support during scheduled clinic hours. Requirements

  • LPN certification
  • Experience in outpatient settings
  • Proficiency in patient care
  • Management experience in a medical office
  • Knowledge of EMR and EHR systems
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Familiarity with catheterization
  • Ability to work with children
  • Basic life support certification
  • Accredited nursing school graduate
  • Minimum five years nursing experience, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice
  • Capable of remaining calm in stressful situations.
  • In order to give and evaluate patient care, proficient in professional nursing theory and practice.
  • Proficient in appropriate use of medical equipment and instruments necessary to administer patient care.
  • Proficient in maintaining safe working environment and in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care within quality control standards.
  • The NM will be able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • The NM will be able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing and work effectively with subordinates and coworkers.
  • The NM will maintain confidentiality of all personnel and clinical information.
  • The NM will have the ability to use a computer, copier, and fax machine.
  • Must maintain a current Commonwealth of Virginia Nursing License, CPR certification desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum three years previous supervisory experience is preferred
  • CPR certification desirable
